Workshop Series 2025: Entrepreneurship in the Blue Bio-Economy

To empower blue entrepreneurs, Coastal Research & Management (CRM) and Blaue Bioökonomie are hosting a free Workshop Series on Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy. The series aims to familiarise participants with the key aspects of successfully starting and running a business in the Blue Bioeconomy.

What to expect?

Participants will gain a nuanced and critical perspective on sustainable aquaculture, with topics ranging from the basics of marine ecology and food production through aquaculture to the development of sustainable products from water resources and the risks and opportunities of utilising marine residual materials. The series also covers fundamental economic principles and provides an introduction to decision-making processes in business development.

Why Attend?

It is an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals in the blue bioeconomy to expand their expertise and connect with like-minded individuals. Also, the workshop features an excursion, where participants will see aquaculture in action and learn from industry experts. This practical experience will provide firsthand insight into the realities of modern aquatic farming.
